Rail, transit, and fleet aftermarket fabrication
Transportation OEMs and aftermarket programs need a contract manufacturer who delivers consistent quality at production volume: sheet metal brackets that mount the same way every time, equipment enclosures that survive vibration and weather, and chassis components that arrive ready to install. SPM brings AWS D1.3 certified welding, in-house powder coating with weather-durable finishes, and IPC-A-610-trained electro-mechanical assembly to rail, transit, and fleet aftermarket work. For automotive OEM programs requiring IATF 16949 safety-critical certification, we partner-refer. For everything else — rail, transit equipment, fleet aftermarket — we deliver consistent, repeatable manufacturing at scale.
Use Cases
What SPM builds for transportation programs
Rail & Transit
Rail and transit sheet metal components
Sheet metal brackets, panels, and equipment housings for rail and transit equipment. Welded and powder-coated for vibration and weather durability.
Fleet Aftermarket
Fleet aftermarket sheet metal fabrications
Sheet metal components and brackets for commercial fleet aftermarket programs — service equipment, fleet customization, and replacement parts manufacturing.
Equipment Enclosures
Transportation equipment enclosures and chassis
NEMA-rated and powder-coated enclosures for transportation equipment electrical systems, control panels, and instrumentation housings. AWS D1.3 welded; in-house finish.

Scope-honest about transportation positioning
SPM is ISO 9001 certified. Our transportation work focuses on rail, transit, and fleet aftermarket fabrication — sheet metal components, brackets, equipment enclosures, and chassis for non-DOT-safety-critical applications. We do not currently hold automotive-specific certifications (IATF 16949) and do not manufacture safety-critical automotive components. For automotive OEM programs requiring IATF 16949, we can refer.
