Overview

What we do, who we do it for

Our forming department combines automated press brake technology, automatic tool-changing equipment, and experienced operators across manual press brakes to support complex, tight-tolerance parts from prototype through production.

Metal Forming is an essential part of sheet metal manufacturing, and SPM has the capability to handle any of your forming needs. Trust our experienced personnel and state-of-the-art equipment to help you get the job done. We are continually investing in state-of-the-art machines, especially those that are capable of automatically changing their own tooling (ATCs), which saves time and money for our customers.

Equipment & Process

Automated bending, tight tolerances

Manual press brakes & bend simulation

Our Metal Forming department includes manual press brakes with experienced operators that are capable of producing very complex, tight-tolerance parts. Before the forming process begins, our Engineering team uses bend simulation technology to validate our processes and ensure repeatability.

Robotic bending & ATCs

Jobs with a high mix of parts can be sent to robotic bending systems capable of Lights Out Manufacturing. Our ATCs eliminate the costly delays associated with conventional tool changes and test bends so that our customers pay the lowest price possible.
