Overview

What we do, who we do it for

We support a wide variety of panel and enclosure assemblies, including a wide range of UL-certified and NEMA-rated enclosures. Our plant floor is capable of producing welded, adhesive bonded, and riveted enclosures, frames, and cabinets.

We focus on building higher-level assemblies of mechanical parts and specialize in hinge and door mechanisms. Additional services include populating assemblies with passive devices and in-house painting and powder coating. We also offer custom packaging, skidding, and crating right off the assembly line. Our Quality Control department utilizes special equipment to thoroughly review our assembled products and ensure quality before they are shipped to you.

FAQ

Frequently asked

What types of assemblies does SPM build?
Panel assemblies, enclosure assemblies, cabinets, and custom higher-level mechanical assemblies — including welded, adhesive-bonded, and riveted construction. SPM specializes in hinge and door mechanisms.
Does SPM offer UL-listed enclosures?
Yes. SPM produces custom UL-certified builds, with UL listing supported on a per-project basis.
What NEMA ratings does SPM support?
NEMA 1, 3R, 4, 4X, and 12. Project-specific ratings are verified at quote time.
Is SPM's wire splicing IPC-trained?
Yes. SPM's wire splicing and soldering operations are IPC-A-610 trained, applied across populated panels and harness work.
Can SPM populate panels with passive devices?
Yes. SPM supports populating panel and enclosure assemblies with passive devices in-house, eliminating the need to coordinate with third-party assembly vendors.
What is IPC-A-610?
