We are excited to announce the newest addition to our Quality department, InspecVision’s 3D Inspection System! SPM is one of only 20 companies in North America to install and utilize this new technology.
This system is the fastest in the world for both inspection and the reverse engineering of parts and can determine shape accuracy down to 50 micrometers. It can take more than 40 million measurements in 0.1 seconds, and it uses those measurements to create a digital rendering of the part that it analyzes for quality.
We are constantly innovating and looking for ways to increase our production efficiencies, and the 3D Inspection System is the next step forward in our Continuous Improvement journey. Our Quality department will be using it to increase productivity, support the better-quality analysis of complex parts, and open capacity for the department support more of our operations.
