At SPM, people are at the center of how and why we do what we do. We are redefining what it looks and feels like to work in manufacturing by taking a people-centric approach to work with a collaborative, energetic, and fun culture. We foster a culture that celebrates diversity and encourages learning and collaboration and want our team members to actively and eagerly participate in the workplace, as well as in the service of others in our community.
At SPM, we’re passionate about teaching, coaching, and training the team of tomorrow. We want to make sure that all of our team members have the tools and resources that they need to build upon their existing skills or add new ones to stay ahead of the curve and grow into the future with confidence. We believe in embracing new technology and ideas, and SPM University (SPMU) helps our team members learn about and embrace these developments.
Our passion for sharing our manufacturing experience extends to our customers as well! With SPMU-C, our customers now get access to ongoing education from us on topics such as “Metal Fabrication 101,” “Design for Manufacturability,” and “Design for Cost Reduction & Quality.” We teach our customers how to integrate our automation, processes, and capabilities into their designs. Customers can visit us on-site to learn about manufacturing through hands-on experience, or they can learn remotely from across the globe with our virtual solutions.
BUILT 2 Serve is our dedicated community service team that focuses on philanthropy, support, and service at the SPM family, local, state, and national levels. We encourage our employees to work together in the service of others to inspire hope and change lives.
Modeled after the Make-A-Wish Foundation, our Special Wish program is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our team members and their families. SPM collects donations and pays that kindness forward to make our team members’ dreams come true. The Special Wish program is our way of supporting our team members and helping them connect with their families.
At SPM, we encourage a culture of lean and continuous thinking, which promotes innovation and change throughout all levels of our company. Our Continuous Improvement (CI) program enables team members to make suggestions that will improve our safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
