Special Products & Mfg., Inc. was founded by Robert J. (Bob) Grand-Lienard Jr. in Dallas, Texas in October of 1963. From our humble beginnings in a "garage shop”, we grew and moved into larger facilities in Dallas, Garland, and lastly into our current home in Rockwall, Texas. We currently operate in a state-of-the-art 140,000 square foot facility in the prominent Rockwall Technology Park.
Robert J. (Bob) Grand-Lienard Jr. retired in 1987, establishing a management team that included his sons, Robert J. (Rob) Grand-Lienard III and Edward M. (Ed) Grand-Lienard, to lead the family owned business. Presently, Rob and Ed Grand-Lienard drive the day to day operations of Special Products & Mfg., Inc, having more than fifty years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
Rob and Ed Grand-Lienard established a management team of their own in 1997 that consists of six highly qualified managers with various operational responsibilities. Combined, the management team has over 150 years experience at Special Products, and close to 200 years experience in the manufacturing industry. The team has been successful beyond measure in overseeing migration to new facilities, implementing lean manufacturing techniques, integrating the ISO Quality Management System, encouraging internal team development, and most importantly... establishing customer relations!
